Illustrations for gift cards
The client: Kleines Cafe, Mannheim.
The project description: Three illustrations for regular gift cards and one illustration for Christmas season gift card. The goal was to convey the mood of the place, its atmosphere, to draw people of different generations and dogs. Because this is a dog-friendly cafe for every day and a meeting place for the local community.
First card is about the community and generations. And also about the tea, cakes and ice cream which are really good in Kleines Cafe.
Second card is about the creative community and also about generations, cozy atmosphere and friendly mood of the place.
Third card is about the beauty of the place, coffee and cakes. Poppies associated in my head with Baden-Württemberg, they grow here everywhere in Summer. Local food, local community, local flowers.
Fourth card is about Christmas time. I wanted to convey the mood of the first snowfall and the time between the day and the evening (enter chien et loup), when everything is so cozy. Snow is not a common something in Mannheim and it is always a little bit like a miracle. I wanted to draw this situation when everybody stops for a minute for watching the snowfall. And here we decided to make the picture of Kleines Cafe from out side.
